[fusion_text]Many people think that the marketing department has it all together, and to be fair, we do tend to be the glue that holds the company together (not to toot our own horns or anything), but we are entitled to have our “uh-oh” moments. After all, nobody is perfect!
However, as mentioned in the previous blog post (“I Am Woman, Watch Me Lead: Takeaways from the 2016 Marketing Hall of Femme”), marketers are constantly under the microscope and any blunder tends to fall on us, whereas any success leads to praise of a different department. In turn, this puts us in a position to prove our value and show that we have what it takes to succeed. Sometimes this is a good thing because it allows us to show people what we’re capable of, but on the other hand, it also adds unnecessary stress.
All in all, we pull through and triumph over the obstacles, but we still find time to be silly and have our fair share of carefree laughter.
