Synthio’s Privacy Shield: Updated January 2020

As set by Synthio’s code of conduct: “Synthio respects the right to privacy and confidentiality of our clients, individuals and others with whom we do business.”


CDM Holdings, Inc., d/b/a Synthio complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and the United Kingdom and Switzerland to the United States.  Synthio has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles.  If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.  To learn more about the Privacy Shield program, and to view our certification, please visit


This Privacy Shield Policy applies to personal information within the scope of Synthio’s Privacy Shield Certification, which covers the following categories of information:


  • Personal information regarding current, former and prospective clients and their personnel or others for the purposes of delivering Synthio services, maintaining ongoing relationships and performing business development activities.
  • Personal information regarding our third parties (e.g., vendors, service providers, etc.) and their personnel for the purposes of managing and administering Synthio’s business relationships with such third parties.
  • Additionally, Synthio may, from time to time, collect personal information from the public in order to answer inquiries or provide information requested.


Individual Notice and Choice:


We collect and process personal information from certain individuals for the purposes described in this Privacy Shield Policy.  Personal information covered by this Privacy Shield Policy is collected and processed only as permitted by the Principles.


Notice to individuals regarding the personal information collected from them and how that information is used may be provided through this Privacy Shield Policy, other website notices, or other direct forms of communication.  Where necessary and appropriate, consent for personal information to be collected, used, and/or transferred may also be obtained through these same means of communication (including opt-in consent for sensitive personal information).


Disclosure and Transfers:


Synthio may transfer, store and process data from one country to another. Upon the start of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we will ensure that transfer of personal information to a third party or international organization for providing third party service, with individual’s permissions to make the discoursers, legal obligation, and for compliance or regulatory purposes.




Individuals whose personal information is covered by this Privacy Shield Policy have the right to access the personal information Synthio maintains about them as specified in the Principles.  Individuals may contact us to contact us to correct, amend or delete personal information if it is inaccurate or has been processed in violation.  Requests for access, correction, amendment or deletion should be sent to:

Synthio takes appropriate measures to protect personal information and ensure a level of security.  Synthio commits to resolve complaints about collection or use of personal information.


In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, Synthio commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information.  EU and Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our Privacy Shield policy should first contact Compliance at:


Synthio has further committed to refer unresolved Privacy Shield complaints to Jams, an alternative dispute resolution provider located in the [United States].
